Carriage of dangerous goods

Trans Group SPb Ltd. provides its customers with dangerous goods haulage service.

Our company operates the fleet of special vehicles i.e. ADR-licensed trucks capable of hauling varied types of containers with dangerous goods inside.

The trucks are equipped with fire extinguishers, sand boxes and other appliances the use of which is stipulated by international conventions and Russia’s State Standard.

The dangerous goods are delivered by drivers which have at least 3 years of operation and have attended ASMAP’s special course.

Regulations on the transport of dangerous goods by road

Dangerous goods include all substances and articles which can harm the health of humans or animals (burns, radiation, poisoning, injuries etc.) or can cause fire, damage to vehicles, buildings and structures of various types and purposes during loading and transport.

To carry all types of dangerous goods one need to abide by the rules set forth by the following documents:

European Agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road-ADR. Carrier-companies may not carry dangerous goods across the border without admission to transportation of dangerous cargoes. The ADR Agreement was developed by the European Economic Commission in 1957. It has undergone several revisions since then. The last revision was made in 2011.

“The regulations for the carriage of dangerous goods by road”, approved by Order of the Ministry of transport on 08.08.1995 by No. 73 and registered by the Ministry of Justice of Russia under No. 997 on 18.12.1995, “Regulation on measures of ensuring the safety of the transport of dangerous goods by road” set by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation under No 372 on 23.04.94, “On measures of ensuring the safety of the carriage of dangerous goods by road” approved by the Order of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation under No. 47 on 06.07.1994.

Road traffic safety law — It includes images and descriptions of road signs, assigned for co controlling and supervising the dangerous goods traffic.
